  1. Where members, assured and content in their inherent manliness, may discuss fashion, accessorising, colours, fabrics, scent, hair products (including 'systems') and modern etiquette in a warm, welcoming domain.

  2. AAAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

  3. If the shirt don't smell to bad, it's clean.

  4. Now that's the best laugh I've had all week

  5. Good one, Shuie!

  6. Well, why not? We've been asked to help a guy pick out a hat!

  7. Sounds good to me... anyone know the appropriate height for cuffs on levi's 501... I have really been looking around and it seems that there are two schools of thought: some cuff em about 1.5 -2.3 inches and other, myself included, believe that the appropriate amount of cuff is about 3.7 -4.0 inches...

I think this type of forum would be a wonderful and valuable resource for the community... remember it takes a village.

  8. OK, I'll start with Truefitt & Hill's Clubman. Hard to find on this side of the pond but worth the effort . Positively THE cologne to be wearing while playing a 6122-59.

  9. Good question, CPR. It's dependant on how tall you are. If you're 5'10" or over, go for the full 4". Between 5'6"-5'9"? Keep the turn-up modest. Any shorter and you should avoid turn-ups altogether.

Remember to keep the pants length, turn-up or no, just touching the top of your shoe heel. Half mast is a no-no.

A pair of solid, workmanlike boots with a square toe, will set the look off beautifully. Confidence is the key to carrying this ensemble well

    Glad to help!

Deed, not only have we assisted gamely in the recent hat quest, but I can recall a time when Wenzel's seemingly insurmountable bow-tie miseries were solved in mere weeks.

  10. Man Shuie, thanks. I do indeed have a pair of black workmanlike boots with square toes. I just know this is going to be an invaluable resource. All hail shuie.

  11. Gentlemen, I leave you to it, as this should be, and shall remain, entirely your domain.

  12. One time I left a pair of pants at the dry cleaners for eleven months.

  13. Opinion on waxing? Go . . .

  14. A light clipping of body hair to the desired density is infinitely preferable to waxing in the majority of cases. The modern gentleman can work on his unclothed appearance, but it should be subtly executed- keep a hairy chest, just make it a NICE hairy chest.

Waxing opens all sorts of doors to ridicule if noticed by malicious parties.

The ladies in your life will appreciate how good you're looking. And your male peers won't notice a thing during physical labour and manly sporting games.

  15. Shuie, you are a man of many talents.

  16. You appear to have considered this issue thoroughly, Shuie. Well done, sir. Well done.

  17. There are no taboos in the temple of good grooming, Andy. Clearly, this issue has been itching you and I'm glad you got it off your chest- hopefully not all of it, though.

  18. Always wear clean underwear in case you get in an accident.

  19. Oh, and don't scratch and sniff your finger in public. Some find that offensive.

  20. can I wear this shirt again

  21. Re: waxing

Everyone knows a tree looks bigger in the desert than it does surrounded by shrubbery.

  22. Take this grooming tip from Redd Foxx:

  23. Aw, c'mon Deed. You helped me pick out my flying jacket, you're as valuable here as anywhere.

  24. I am entirely dependent on the good judgement of the ladies when it comes to grooming advice.

After that last near-miss with the hedge clippers, I'll pass, thanks.
