Retired Army and IT Linux Networking Engineer. I've been a musician for over 50 years, multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, violin, mandolin, banjo, piano and several horns). I've played in many bands over the years, I like to play classic rock, southern rock, jazz and blues. I purchased my first Gretsch guitar (G5422TG) in May of 2018, after wanting one for many years. I decided on this model for several reasons, I like the double cut look, I like the gold hardware against the burgundy color and it has a Bigsby vibrato, I'm delighted with the guitar. I became interested in Gretsch guitars many years ago because of Chet Atkins, Duane Eddy, Brian Setzer etc, I always thought they were cool guitars. I kept buying one on the back burner until I retired full time, I now wish I hadn't waited. I will probably be purchasing more Gretsch guitars now that I've seen just how nice these guitars are. I think that a double jet will be a good choice.
