Tom Scheponik

I've been a mastering engineer for 20 years now. I formed Gringo Motel back in 1999. The idea of having rotating players come in with no commitment. About to release the 5th album. The music is influenced by spaghetti westerns, mariachi, surf, tango, fado, eastern European music and ambient soundtracks. Among the plethora of instruments I've been collecting, I mostly play a 1976 County Club and 1954 Electro II. I currently also play guitar with the Sideshow Prophets, Vibraphone with Mercury Radio Theater, and Farfisa organ with A Brood of Vipers. All the bands are based out of Philly. I also collect and restore vintage gear and sometimes build industrial furniture.
