About

I've been picken since 1972. played professionally from 1976 to 1984. I gave up to raise a family, and work on the railroad. I still play but mostly for fun. I own a Black Falcon with dynas and a 6120am . I also own a 1980 Les Paul standard, and a Fender custom Nashville styled Tele. My Dad and my Grandfather were musicians and my two sons are also players. I'm a big fan of Brian Setzer and had a three piece rockabilly band in 1980.Brian and I are the same age, and both had the same good idea, he's just a whole lot better than I. I've also been in top 40s band a power trio and a southern rock band, not to mention a stand in guitar player through the local musicians union.I have been known to play bluegrass and old country on a 60s Guild F47 a SS Steward mandolin or my Taylor 414ce. The mandolin was my Grandfather's who was a highly decorated soldier in WW1, and a Montana rancher, Lots of history in that little mandolin. I really didn't know what I was missing until I started playing Gretsch guitars,I love them and I really enjoy talking to you folks in the Gretsch community. Keep your G side up and keep on pickin!!!
